The Greek Pyramid - While the famous archaeological site of Mycenae in Greece does not have a traditional Egyptian-style pyramid, it is closely associated with massive, pyramid-like subterranean tomb structures known as tholoi or "beehive tombs
-
Underwater Sarcophagi - The sarcophagi of Methoni are a collection of Roman-era, andesite stone coffins discovered in a 3rd-century AD shipwreck off the coast of Sapienza Island near Methoni, Greece
-
A little piece of Africa - . Recently, populations have been confirmed further north near Kalogria Beach, suggesting an expanding range. These chameleons likely arrived from Egypt in antiquity and thrive in the region's warm climate, representing the only known C. africanus population in Europe
