A different way to travel
Educational Partnerships
Expedition-based learning for schools, universities, museums and organisations.
POV Travel designs bespoke, expert led expeditions for institutions with a learning objective. We take students, researchers and members into the field, to the ancient sites, wild landscapes and remote environments we know intimately, and turn a journey into genuine, first hand education. Every programme is built around one belief: that the deepest learning happens when you stand in the real place and ask your own questions.
"We don't just visit these places. We've written the definitive material on them."
Over the past year we have built one of the most respected libraries of long form writing on the subjects we travel for, from the rock art of the Sahara to the temples of Mesopotamia and the recovery of Europe's rarest wildlife. That depth is what your group travels with.

What your group gains
First hand fieldwork.
Primary source encounters with real sites, landscapes and wildlife, not textbook reproductions.
Expert led interpretation.
Guides with academic and field credentials who teach as they go.
Critical thinking.
Our question the narrative approach trains students to weigh evidence and reach their own conclusions.
Memory that lasts.
The kind of transformative experience that stays with a student long after term ends.
Cross curricular depth.
One expedition can connect history, geography, science, environment and ethics.
How it works
Tell us your goals. Share your subject, year group or field, and what you want the trip to achieve.
We design the programme. A bespoke itinerary built around your objectives, timeframe and budget.
Reading and resources, drawn from the POV Library, to prepare your group before you travel.
The expedition. Small groups, expert guides, real places, in the field.
Afterwards. Follow up resources to carry the learning back into the classroom or institution.
Safety, safeguarding and peace of mind
We understand institutions need more than an itinerary before they can travel. Every partnership includes:
Full written risk assessments for every expedition.
Small group sizes for close supervision and real engagement.
Safeguarding policies and suitable staff to participant ratios.
Appropriate insurance and financial protection.
Comprehensive safety protocols and experienced local guides.
References available from previous partners on request.
