Rare Wildlife Encounters

A crocodile in the Sahara. An elephant that mines caves in total darkness. A dolphin hundreds of miles from any sea. These animals have no business being where they are. Which is exactly why we go looking for them.

In the hills of Andalucía we track the Iberian lynx, the cat that came back from the edge of extinction. In the Amazon we search for pink river dolphins and the macaws that fill the canopy. Each sighting begins with the same question. How did this creature end up here? The answer is almost always a window onto a changing planet, a survivor from a world that no longer exists.

These are the creatures that don't fit the story. Come and meet them.
